This is one of the most special statement necklaces that I have made for a while, and I just love how it turned out.

The showstopping focal is a gorgeous antique gold-filled sparkling paste brooch with 6 large pastes (pastes are antique glass hand-cut by the artisans of old who used to cut diamonds). The brooch has a small repair on the back (please see the pictures). I built the necklace around the brooch, with a host of favourite, extra-large jewels: Huge, lustrous South Sea pearls, equally large herkimer quartz, and giant grey keshi pearls that look like rose petails. To add a touch of colour, I added a vintage green glass gold-filled link, and a chunky antique watch chain completes the look. This necklace is when you really want to make a statement!

Wires and clasp are 14K gold-filled. Measures about 19 inches (48 cm) around.
