The Immortal Love Necklaces were inspired by love that persists beyond the grave.
In each pendant, the anatomical human heart lies below a polished quartz gravestone. Surrounding the heart are tiny garnet chips, trapped behind the gravestone; these are able to move around in the space surrounding the heart, creating a 'shaker' style pendant. The backside of each is inscribed with the message "Love Never Dies". The top of the gravestone is adorned with filigree and a wire heart. Faceted garnet beads connect the pendant and clasp to the satellite chain to complete the necklace. Scrollwork borders the top of the gravestone and connects it to the chain. One end of the satellite chain has a hook clasp; both the clasp and ring are connected to the chain by wire-wrapped faceted tourmalinated quartz beads.
All of the silver has been oxidized, a process which creates the blackened or antiqued appearance on silver. The raised points have been polished to shine, while the low points retain the oxidized color to show off the depth and details. All metal used in this piece is sterling silver. The length of this chain is 18". The gravestones with the scrollwork measure 1.25" tall by 1" wide.

- Necklace 1: there is a stable fracture inside the quartz, adding to the aged and weathered effect of the gravestone; the wire heart on top of the scrollwork is slightly larger
- Necklace 2: no visible fractures in the quartz; the wire heart is slightly smaller

A few notes on caring for oxidized sterling silver: oxidized patina on sterling silver isn't particularly durable to long-term exposure to water (like bathing or swimming) or a lot of scrubbing, as friction is the way to polish silver to shine. Constant exposure to tasks such as hand washing, bathing, swimming, washing dishes, etc., will slowly wear away the oxidized patina leaving a shiny silver finish.
